South Korean pharmaceutical company has joined forces with Mayo Clinic's Jacksonville campus in the quest for drugs that treat amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, also known as Lou Gehrig's disease.The value of the partnership will be about $1 million over three years for research conducted at Mayo Clinic, said Leonard Petrucelli, a neuroscientist and chairman of the clinic's Department of Neuroscience Research.
