How propylene is classified by the F.D.A


The F.D.A classifies propylene glycol as an additive, and for the most part that means it is generally safe to use, primarily in food. When the F.D.A was asked about its safeness in regards to inhaling it, Dr, Richard D. Hurt, director of the Nicotine Dependence Center at the Mayo Clinic said, “I don’t think so, but I am not sure if anyone knows for sure.
