US healthcare tries to go viral with social networks

A leukaemia patient looks for a bone marrow transplant through Facebook. Cancer survivors club together to discuss coping strategies… Like Baumann, Mary Pat Whaley sits on the board of Social Media Centre of US healthcare provider Mayo Clinic. Whaley, who runs another healthcare consulting firm called Manage My Practice, says that social networking could be no less than the saviour for the US's ailing healthcare system.
