Mayo Clinic held its first ever Veterans Day program Friday and it's part of an effort that goes much beyond the ceremony. Family physician Dr. Walter Franz, who is also a colonel in the Army Reserves, led a short program in the Gonda atrium, which included a presentation of colors, the Pledge of Allegiance and a silent 21 gun salute.
