The U.S. Food and Drug Administration are reviewing the safety of giving steroid shots into the epidural space near the spinal cord…“What they are looking at is the use of epidural steroid injections that specifically relieve chronic muscle/skeletal pain,” Mayo Clinic Health Systems – Albert Lea Staff Physician/OB-GYN Dr. Joseph Lombardi said.
