In actually fact, most patients generally make a full recovery from the physical condition in a few days. Nonetheless, an extensive study by the Mayo Clinic in the United States of America found about 3.6 per cent of fatalities rate in patients with broken heart syndrome. In addition, patients who experienced physical stress were found to have a lower survival rates than those under emotional stress alone.
