Doctors Say Norovirus Spreads Quickly

By

…Doctors with Mayo Clinic Health System say norovirus typically lasts about 12 to 24 hours, and typically spreads very quickly. Dr. Scott Helmers, a family medicine and urgent care doctor at Mayo Clinic Health System in Mankato Eastridge says, "It spreads very quickly and very easily. It doesn't take many of the virus particles to get an infection. It can be on any surface, it could be possibly in food. It's primarily getting on to your hands and from your hands to your mouth."
