Sitting is the new smoking

I wrote this standing up. I want you to try reading it – on your feet. That's right. Standing is the new sitting. For workplaces, for schools and for homes. And it makes sense, right? "Sitting is sort of the new smoking," Dr. James Levine from the Mayo Clinic said when referencing sitting at a desk all day can harm your body and your health. Levine and a team of researchers from Mayo and the University of Minnesota say that even the modest increases in daily activity could help people lose weight and improve their health.
