Mayo Clinic Alzheimer’s Research

Researchers at Mayo Clinic say they're one step closer to identifying Alzheimer's patients before they even begin to show symptoms. Although it's years away, the work could eventually lead to a cure for a disease that currently affects more than 5 million Americans and nearly 110-thousand Minnesotans…But new research, unveiled by Mayo Clinic Wednesday, may help future families from going through the same thing. "The moment you understand the mechanism, you know what you have to target and what could help," said Dr. Eugenia Trushina.
