U.S. researchers have discovered that neutralizing an enzyme can slow multiple sclerosis in mice. Scientists at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn., found the enzyme Kallikrein 6 was present in abundance in MS lesions and blood samples. As well, it is associated with inflammation and demyelination in other neurodegenerative diseases.
