When Mayo Clinic breast cancer researcher E. Aubrey Thompson watched The Players Championship Sunday on TV, he was excited to see that many fans and players wore pink. “You could see a sea of pink people,” he said. “I cheered for the golfers in pink shirts.”… “I think that is outstanding,” said Thompson, co-director of the Mayo Clinic Breast Cancer Translational Genomics Program. “Everything that can be done to bring breast cancer awareness to a higher level is important.”
