Mammograms Down 6% After Guideline Change


The number of women in their 40s receiving mammograms dropped nearly 6% the year after the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force released its 2009 breast cancer screening guidelines, new Mayo Clinic research says…The decrease is small but significant, said report co-author Nilay Shah, PhD, assistant professor of health services research at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn.
