Nearly 10 percent of the population suffers from migraine headaches and those who've lived it, know just how debilitating they can be. Tuesday we introduced you to a Brownsdale woman who's been battling them for years. Those who suffer from migraines know that treating them is a headache in itself… Some say, the most complicated part of migraines is treating them, since doctors say it is likely a complex genetic disorder. This means all patients respond to medications differently. "We don't know which particular patient to give which type of medicine to and so as a result, it's a series of inefficient trial and error approaches that are expensive, and in my opinion, it results in a lot of needless suffering," said Dr. Michael Cutrer, neurologist at Mayo Clinic.
