Inland Doctors Not Immune to Burnout

A recent survey shows nearly half the nation's doctors suffer from some form of burnout - in large part because of too much work. Shanafelt, the lead author of a Mayo Clinic study of 7,288 physicians published by the online edition of Archives of Internal Medicine last month. Researchers found that 45.8 percent of the respondents reported at least one symptom of burnout.
