Mayo Clinic’s Florida campus has received a $7 million, five-year grant from the National Institutes of Health to continue its Parkinson’s disease research. NIH has funded Mayo Clinic’s Udall Center since 1999, Mayo said in a news release. The center brings together the disciplines of neurology, neurogenetics and neuropathology to discover new genetic causes of Parkinsonism.
