Affordable Care Act will work if we embrace it: Column

President Obama mentioned the Affordable Care Act only once during his 2013 State of the Union address, a startling oversight considering the paradigmatic shift his landmark reforms will require of the U.S. health care system in the coming year...Declining reimbursements and physician burnout are contributing to a chronic shortage of primary care providers, which the Mayo Clinic recently projected to reach 50,000 physicians in the next decade.
