A former Medtronic executive has been named the chief technology officer for a joint effort to defeat diabetes formed about two years ago by the University of Minnesota and the Mayo Clinic. Maura Donovan, who was vice president of therapy research and development at Fridley-based Medtronic (NYSE: MDT), was named CTO for Decade of Discovery.
