Mayo looks for jumpstart in Minnesota House committee

The bill to assist the Mayo Clinic in a major expansion is back before a Minnesota House committee where it hit turbulence last month. The House Taxes Committee planned Tuesday to take another look at Mayo's request for a state subsidy for infrastructure upgrades in Rochester. Mayo officials say the public works projects are critical to a plan to privately finance a multibillion dollar expansion on the famed clinic's campus.
