Mayo Clinic’s transportation needs for Destination Medical Center are outlined

Many are asking what is a "Downtown Circulator," the single most expensive item on the list at an estimated $430 million total, with $36 million of DMC money earmarked for it. Mayo Clinic deferred to city officials to discuss that topic. It's a term used by urban planners to describe some sort of public transit vehicles, such as buses or streetcars, that makes very frequent stops on a set route within a city's downtown, explains Gary Neumann, assistant city administrator. Rochester buses currently drive routes throughout the city with long stretches between stops.
