Mayo Clinic announces end of ‘You Are’ fundraising campaign

Mayo Clinic announced the end of one of the largest fundraising campaigns by an academic medical center on Monday. “You Are: The Campaign for Mayo Clinic” has raised $3.76 billion over eight years. The campaign began in January 2010 and ended Dec. 31, 2017. Its last year was also its largest Logo for Post-Bulletin newspaperfundraising year, with $634 million given. Donations ranged from one cent to $100 million over the course of the fundraiser. There were a total of 1.9 million gifts from more than 530,000 donators.

Reach:  The Rochester Post-Bulletin is a daily newspaper that serves Rochester, Austin and its surrounding cities. The newspaper has a daily circulation of more than 30,000 and has more than 440,00 unique visitors to its website each month.

The campaign exceeded its $3 billion goal one year early, and the total amount raised surpassed the goal by 25 percent.
