Inpatient Psychiatric Services Latest Transition

By Karl Oestreich

KAAL

An estimated 1 in 5 Minnesotans faces mental illness each year ... but the state ranks 50th out of the 50 states when it comes to in-patient mental health beds. At the end of the month, the latest chapter in an on-KAAL 6 News Rochester Logogoing Mayo Clinic transitioning plan will address that. "These conditions to us are no different than a medical condition that another patient would be hospitalized for,” said John Rosheim, nurse manager of psychiatry and psychology at Mayo Clinic in Albert Lea. “We just are specialized in the type of care that we'll provide them."
