Kidney transplant surgery was performed Wednesday at the Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale on Kellie Boff and Mike Newman. Both are doing well. Boff, 43, donated a kidney to Newman, 57. Newman, a retired sergeant, was one of the Bullhead City Police Department’s founding members. Prior to receiving his new kidney, he was in the renal failure end stage for both kidneys.
